What to Expect
Where do I park?
There are marked visitor and handicap parking spaces on the main church parking lot off Thomas Street. This is actually the back of the church building and you’ll see a covered drive which is handy for passenger drop-offs.
What should I wear
Feel free to wear whatever you are most comfortable in. You will notice people dressed casually, in business casual, and some in nice jeans as well. Others wear suits and dresses.
Where do I go?
The covered drive leads directly into the church building. HBC Greeters will be at the door to help direct you. Once you enter the main church building, walk directly ahead and into the church sanctuary, which is actually the side door . Restrooms are located just outside the main doors of the sanctuary on the right hallway.
Nursery and preschool care is available on the same hallway as the restrooms. Someone will be in the rooms to help you securely check-in your baby or toddler, if needed.
What is the worship service like?
The service begins at 10:45 a.m. and generally lasts one hour. The music is mainly traditional hymns with a few contemporary choruses. These are normally supported by piano and organ, but on occasion, guitar, trumpet and/or flute are also used. Words are projected on screens in the front of the room. Children in PreK through 5th grade are invited to attend Children’s Church, if they’d like, and are gathered by the Children’s Leader after the offeratory. An offering is collected about midway through the service, but this is primarily for our members and guests should feel free not to contribute if they do not desire to. The message lasts between 20 to 30 minutes and concludes with an invitation to respond.
